| Abstract | The head moving muscles in different muscles of Anoplura were examined and compared with that in other groups of the Psocodea and the Pterygota. The 'Grundplan' of the muscle arrangement in different groups of the Psocodea was reconstructed. this character complex supports the possibility that the Ischnocera + Anoplura and the Ischnocera + Anoplura + Rhynchophthirina could be monophyletic groups with in the Phthiraptera. |
