| Abstract | A Guinea-pig was presented with pruritis associated with the presence of many external parasites. A Trimenopon hispidum pediculosis, a louse seldom encountered in the Guinea pig, was diagnosed. An antiparasitic powder treated the animal effectively. However, the latter died six months later. An hypothesis, not confirmed, is put forward of an underlying infection (9 photos, 1 tableau, 5 references). |
