The material of small mammals consists of 7,377 individuals belonging to 10 species and of 10,514 individual lice belonging to 4 species, viz. Hoplopleura acanthopus (Burm.), H. longula (Neum.), Polyplax reclinata (Nitsch) and P. serrata (Burm.). In the stands of the alliance Salicion albae (Oberd., 1953) Th. Muller et Gurs (1958) along the Danube and in those of the alliance Ulmenion Oberd. (1953) along the Morava river the number of individual lice varied considerably in spite of rather similar cumulative numbers of the hosts. Occurrence of H. acanthopus on Clethrionomys glareolus had two peaks a year, whereas that of P. serrata had one peak on Apodemus flavicollis and on Apodemus sylvaticus. The timing of these peaks varied in individual years.</style>
<issue><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">5</style></issue><accession-num><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">38482</style></accession-num><notes><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Journal</style></notes></record></records></xml>
